Looking for the words to 2 old songs
1. Little sereco how do you do?
2. Mother dear come bathe my forhead
I am growing very weak

CC,

On MP#Lyrics, I found these Hank Snow Put my Little Shoes Away Lyrics:

Mother dear come bathe my forehead for I’m growing
very weak Mother let one drop of water fall upon
my burning cheek Tell my loving little playmates
that I never more shall play Give them all my toys
but mother put my little shoes away

(Do will do this mother won’t you put my little
shoes away) Give them all my toys but mother put
my little shoes away [vibes]
Santa Claus he brought them to me with a lot of
other things And I think he brought an angel with
a pair of golden wings Mother soon I’ll be an
angel by perhaps another day So you my dearest
mother put my little shoes away (Do will do this
mother…

As for the other, I’m not sure. Do you recall any more of the words?

Soon the baby will be older, playing up and down the street. Won’t he look so cunning, Mother, with the shoes upon his feet!

There is also this version with a score at numachi.

Put My Little Shoes Away

Mother dear come bathe my forehead, for I’m growing very weak
Let one drop of water, mother, fall upon my burning cheek.
Tell my loving little schoolmates, that I never more will play,
Give them all my toys but, Mother, put my little shoes away!

cho: I am going to leave you mother, so remember what I say:
Do it, won’t you please, dear Mother, Put my little shoes away.

Santa Claus, he gave them to me, with a lot of other things
And I think he brought an angel with a pair of golden wings.
Then I too shall be an angel by, perhaps, another day
So, you will then, dearest mother, Put my little shoes away.

Soon the baby will grow larger, and they will fit his little feet
And he will be nice and cunning as he walks upon the street.
I am tired, now, dear mother So remember what I say
Do it, won’t you please, dear Mother, Put my little shoes away.

Hi, I was looking for the words to this song because my grandfather used to sing it to me all the time when we were walking around Queens. I only know part of it.
Well, he is 97 and still alive so I called him and this is all he could remember, but he said he will think on it. He said if he could just think of the next line, the rest will probably come to him.

Oh Little Sereco, How do you do?
Hello, Hello
Oh LIttle Sereco, I’m very blue
Hello Hello
